Our Story Unfolded

ADDI Home of Grace, it all began in 2020 with Grace a young teenager that became pregnant when her family sold her for food during the Covid 19 pandemic. She was ostracized by the community and disowned from her family. She came to Victor and Christine Tukakira's church in Kabale, Uganda asking for help. They opened their home to her and that is how this project all started. At one point hey had 9 pregnant teenagers and their babies in their home, more and more young women in need kept showing up, so they rented a facility to be able to help more. Currently they are helping 105 women and their children. The women are fed, taught skills, (sewing, hair design, basket weaving and cooking) and since most of them attempted suicide and aborting their baby, they also receive weekly counseling.
